欲海

人类之爱欲炽盛、深广，难以脱出，故以海为譬喻。一般以爱欲难度，譬如急流，称之为欲流（梵ka^ma -ogha ）。众生皆由于炽盛之烦恼而轮回生死，不能到达理想之涅槃界，称之为烦恼生死大海。烦恼中以爱欲为最重，故称爱欲为欲海。
